My research interests are primarily focused on diversity and evolution of marine invertebrates and molecular biology. As part of my graduate research, I apply molecular approaches to explore the diversity and taxonomic community composition of cryptobenthic sponges (Phylum Porifera) in the Indo-Pacific. I became fascinated by marine biology as I completed my last year of high school while sailing around the Atlantic. While earning my B.Sc. in biology at Laval University in Québec, Canada, I have been involved in active climate change research and took part in expeditions to study our planet’s remotest marine ecosystems in the Canadian Arctic and in French Polynesia. My previous research has focused on coral microbiomes (Laval University) and space health (Canadian Space Agency).
