Lindsay is a Zoology doctoral student. She is interested in using applied mathematics to solve ecological questions about the why, when, and where of the spatial ecology of various marine organisms. Her dissertation focuses on visualizing the species distribution of mesophotic (30 – 180 m below the sea surface) algae and corals around the main Hawaiian Islands. Her interests include finding creative ways to manipulate big data, exploring new programming languages, and reading about updated global climate forecast models.
