I’m a molecular biologist interested in broadening and improving upon the applications of environmental DNA in marine and aquatic systems. I enjoy finding new ways to ask questions about marine biodiversity and the impacts of invasive species, and I’m also curious about evolutionary processes and community composition shifts in our rapidly changing world. With the power of rapidly improving molecular techniques, I find it amazing that we can help answer big picture questions by looking at some of the tiniest building blocks of life. In the future I hope to continue my studies in molecular applications of marine conservation while promoting accessibility and inclusion in science.
